Waterline rescue
The ResQdock is a new and patented device for rescue boats. The innovation is an opening in the side of the hull and a rescue chute that allows the victim to be easily pulled into the boat. Rescuers do not need to lift the victim out of the water, but can pull them alongside the boat and into the rescue chute.
No heavy lifting
ResQdock makes the operation easier for rescuers, who can avoid heavy lifting over the rail. The injured and possibly lifeless person is pulled into the boat afloat. The rescue operation requires less manpower, in principle one person can rescue a person in distress.
Faster rescue
ResQdock reduces the risk of injury to the rescued person’s back, shoulders and neck during the critical moment of bringing them on board. The rescued person gets out of the water faster, which also reduces the risk of hypothermia. The dumb, flat bottom allows CPR to be started already in the boat.
Fewer relocations
The solution means fewer transfers of the rescued person; from the water to the boat, from the boat to the shore and the waiting ambulance. In ResQdock, the rescued person is placed on a radiolucent spineboard in the boat and can be transported on this all the way to the hospital. Neck and back fixation can be done in the boat.
Fast and secure
The boat is very stable thanks to the catamaran keel and handles very well in the water. The three-keel design makes the boat easy to handle even on land, snow and ice. With the recommended 15hp engine, the maximum speed is 20 knots and the load capacity is 3 people and 45kg of equipment.
