Legal requirements
WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT?
The Act on Protection against Accidents, LSO (SFS 2003:778), establishes that owners or users of buildings or other facilities should to a reasonable extent have equipment to save lives. The reasonable extent is described in SRVFS 2007:5, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency’s general advice and comments on rescue equipment at ports, quays, bathing places and similar facilities near water.
