As a further step in our major investment in the Danish market, we participated this week in FLID’s annual port fair in Vejle. FLID stands for “Foreningen af Lystbådehavne I Danmark” and is the trade organization for marinas in Denmark. FLID has 281 marinas affiliated to it with a total of 44,000 berths around Denmark.
It was an intense day with many visitors to our stand who all showed a great interest in our products. FLID has a certification “SAFE PORT” that ports can apply for. The port is then visited by an inspector who checks how the port meets the requirements for both fixed rescue ladders, life-saving posts and fire extinguishers. This certification is of great interest to the ports and means that there is a great deal of interest in life-saving equipment.
