On Thursday, we installed hook posts with connected lifebuoys at a number of Borås City’s more inaccessible bathing areas. The lifebuoys are mounted with a push button that, when the lifebuoy is lifted out of its holder, sends a notification to the municipality’s order system Infracontrol (or equivalent system). The purpose of this is to be able to keep track of these lifebuoys, without having to physically visit the sites as often. This saves time for staff and is kinder to the environment. In addition, the period of time when the site is without functioning equipment is shortened, as the alarm is triggered immediately when the lifebuoy is removed from the holder.
We currently offer a ready-made solution for connecting lifebuoys, and soon also for connecting rescue hooks and rescue ladders. Our sensor works both for connection to Loora and Sigfox.
