On Thursday we were on site at the marina in the Sanden area, in the middle of central Vänersborg. On behalf of the municipality of Vänersborg, we equipped all floating docks with rescue ladders and buoy posts. As these piers have a slightly smaller size of berths, we chose lifeguards with low handles, as these take up minimal space. Of course, they were mounted with weights anchored at the ends, this to create the best possible function. We also mounted our reflective signs showing the way to the nearest rescue ladder, as it can otherwise be difficult to find these between all boats. Life-saving posts were also mounted to create the best conditions to rescue a distressed person from land.
